When employees have the ability to edit their own time card, it would make sense to give them the ability to modify their time off requests on the time card like Supervisors currently do. This would save a lot of back and forth between employees and supervisors to have the supervisor reject time and then have the employee re-request time. They could just go in modify the line to adjust it to the current category or number of hours.
