The purpose of this idea is to make reviewing and approving TOR requests for managers a more intuitive process that prevents the potential for the client to approved unpaid time off unless a genuine determination to do so is desired.

I am not sure if this is the same thing so apologize if I am posting under the wrong case identifier.  When an employee requests time off through the Employee Portal and the Supervisor is met with their request to review, firstly they see the hidden buckets which causes a significant amount of confusion -- those should suppressed.  More importantly, though, they see the current balance as of the day and time they're reviewing the employee's balances.  So an employee with 80.00 hours of Vacation may have already requested 60.00 of them, and had them approved, so really only has 20.00 left.

I do understand this information is available on both the employee's timecard and the accruals ledger report, but those processes are detached and cumbersome when considering the manager if just looking to see if an employee has enough time left to approve their request.

However, when I get a request for 20.00 hours of vacation for my employee, even though 60.00 hours are already slated to be exhausted and were approved as time off, I don't get the benefit of seeing that on the screen where I can approve or deny the TOR.  All it shows me is the current balance of 80.00 hours, so not knowing any better I can easily over-approve the employee for more TOR than they're allowed. albeit the time not accrued will be posted as unpaid TOR.

The balance the employer sees when they go to approve a TOR should be inclusive of all future, approved requests, as well as any pending requests, so the supervisor or client has all of the information they need on one screen to determine if this employee has enough time to cover their request or if the supervisor or client should decline or conditionally approve the TOR.

By displaying real balances (i.e. those that are diminished by any future approved or pending requests) to display how much time the employee truly has left to request against will not only help employees from being approved for unpaid time, but it will allow managers to run their departments and maintain their staffing levels more effectively.  Thank you for any/all consideration.
