It would be helpful to assign security to supervisors to allow them to edit specific, particular fields in employee set up instead of all or nothing. Additionally it would be helpful to allow supervisors to edit existing employees but not create new ones.
For example I may want a supervisor to NOT have the ability to create a new employee. However they should have the ability to change only the department and location and NOT change other items such as name, ID, etc.
Hi Bill,
Not sure if there's any potential to reconsider this, but Supervisor permissions really do need to be more granular.
1) There should be a permission that allows them to access the Employee Setup grid as a read-only, exportable report.
2) Which fields in the Employee Setup screen, if any, that a Supervisor can edit should be definable by each Supervisor.
3) Whether the Supervisor can add a new employee should be permissionable.
4) Whether the Supervisor can change effective dating should be perrmissionable.
Thanks for any re-consideration!
