Clients need the ability to print time cards for only people who have worked (have times punched) for a certain pay period and/or time frame. Currently, the "print all time cards" option prints all time cards for every employee in the database instead of only the ones that had time accounted for.
For clients that have employees that work periodically (especially during the Pandemic) there can be numerous employees that may not have any hours for one pay period. But then have punches on next period. This can create numerous extra pages to print. It would be very helpful to clients to be able to print only the timecards with punches for the pay period.
Hmm... I am sorry Natalie. When I run this report for my client, it only returns employees who had time worked in the period. I had requested that it be made this way, as my client runs this report a few months after the period ends and they have high turnover. We need to include all employees, including terminated employees, but we didn't want to have all terminated employees, only the ones that were still employed during the period in which this report was ran.
It is possible that this report only functions that way for my organization specifically (I don't fully understand the FileFormat list from Swipeclock, and how that applies to other resellers). My next suggestion would be to submit a request for a Custom Report to swipeclock. That is how we created the report I suggested. It will cost $300-400, but then you will have access to it for all of your clients. I know that the report I suggest functions as I described for all of our clients, so you should be able to run this report successfully for any of your clients.
Hi Greg - I ran that report and like how it looks. However, it's still showing employees that didn't work on the report. Thanks for the help though! Any other options would be appreciated!
Hi all,
A temporary solution would be to use the following custom report under Download Activity Files. File Format "completetimecard" will return an excel-based time card report (very similar to the PDF version created using Print Time Cards, that only includes employees who had time in the period you ran the report. It is not quite as pretty as the PDF report, however it contains all of the same information and it contains a page break after each employee.
Thank you,
Greg Nasso
