Currently, to accomplish this, we run the Detail Report for a year and see what the last box on the report with punch times in it is. If there was a report that could streamline doing this, it would make for a much better training experience and streamline the ability to report on this data.
This could be marketed as a complement to your ACA reporting tools as terminating an employee for their last day worked and making the necessary COBRA arrangements based on that information is instrumental to successful benefits administration.
