Having a note entered by an employee show up in a color other than black would help them stand out more.
This could be accomplished by giving the employee options to modify the font color through a tool much like the one I see while typing up this product idea (see attached).
This would be particularly useful for large clients, whose supervisors review many employee punches on a regular basis.
